Gingham Co-ordinate

I haven’t bought a new outfit in a while due to being a slightly poor student so I thought I could do with treating myself seeing as there’s only a few weeks until student loan day. HURRAH!

I purchased this gingham print co-ordinate from New Look (consists of a sleeveless crop and a skort). I’m not a major fan of the ‘’skort’’ as I think sometimes it can look awkward and out of place but I think I can definitely make an exception for this one. I really wanted some gingham trousers but they didn’t have my size… typical. I couldn’t bring myself to splash my precious cash on the Topshop pants and so I settled for this New Look co-ord instead.

The great thing about co-ords is that you can wear them together or separately – endless possibilities! I’m totally in love with this outfit and it’s perfect for my date night this weekend! It’s a lovely addition to my SS14 wardrobe and possibly for holiday, too. Holiday is the only thing on my mind right now. 106 days and counting.

(Top £9.99/skort £17.99)

Jelly Shoes!

I tend to stay away from buying too many items from Primark but I saw a picture on Instagram of the jelly shoes they sell and I just had to get some - only £4 as well! They’re such a bargain in comparison to other shops.

I originally wanted the black ones but they had none in my size so I opted for the glittery purple instead as I just couldn’t wait. I went back later in the week to get the black ones for a more subtle every day look – I’m not sure it’s acceptable to be wearing glittery purple jelly shoes just yet..

I was amazed at how comfy they are. They are definitely a lot more comfy than they look. They are slightly big for my tiny feet as they do awkward sizing (3-4, 5-6 etc.). Definitely go out and buy some if you’re near a Primark!

Lake District

This weekend, my boyfriend and I took to the countryside for a pleasant afternoon walk in the Lake District. It's such a lovely, peaceful place. It's nice to venture into the Lakes whilst being home from university - I sometimes forget how lucky I am to live right next to such a vast, beautiful area.

We walked for a couple of hours up High Dam and back down again (although 5 minutes after we set off we were kinda out of breath, which is a little embarrassing.) The ground was slightly muddy but I came prepared with my wellington boots. Josh didn't. Therefore I need to buy him some wellington boots, too. On our way down, we stopped by the waterside for a minutes and enjoyed the view.
